What does Light|Shop need to run?
Windows XP. Microsoft .NET 2.0 or higher.
256 MB RAM. Microsoft Internet Explorer. A connection to the
Internet.
What does "Web Enabled" "Web
Deployable" mean?
A "Web Deployable" application is an application that is
automatically updated using the Web. When Light|Shop executes, it
checks for a newer version on our servers and will automatically download and
update. Network administrators no longer have to install updates as
Light|Shop will download and install in a location similar to your temporary
internet files and executes in a very low security policy (does not have access
to system or other protected files).
"Web Enabled" uses the internet to access a central database, thus
you will always have access to the most current and most complete data at all
times.

Can I use Light|Shop without being
connected to the internet?

photometric information you need to have an Internet connection.

What does "client" and "server"
mean?
Light|Shop is a client/server application where there is a small program that
the client runs (your computer) that attaches to a much larger program that
runs on the server (our system). This allows the client to
run a smaller and faster program and leaves the major work up to the
server.
